Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Nicole Lehrer’s upbringing already shaped her groundwork for her future mission. Nicole’s wisdom through horses traces back to her childhood, particularly during visits to the Pyrenees to see her father. Enchanted by the wild horses there, she discovered a unique connection with them, especially the foals. Surrounded by the herd, Nicole experienced profound happiness and presence in the moment, shaping her perspective on life and laid the foundation. This childhood passion evolved into a guiding force, teaching her the power of silence, intuition, and empathy—lessons that continue to influence her approach to life and work two decades later.


Inherently shy but exceptionally observant as a child, Nicole spent time analyzing adult behaviors, especially complex emotions like hatred, fear, and jealousy. Simultaneously, she was drawn to those radiating joy and kindness, inspiring her to envision a future as a strong, proactive, and charismatic woman. This vision laid the foundation for her clear mission: to deeply understand human behavior and leverage this knowledge to drive positive change.

Bridging Practical Wisdom and Academic Leadership

Embarking on her academic odyssey, Nicole faced a pivotal choice between Psychology and International Business, setting the stage for a transformative journey. Opting for the latter, she embarked on a journey spanning Vienna, Spain, and New York University through a sponsorship. This diverse academic expedition immersed her in various cultures, organizational behaviors, and personalities, significantly expanding her worldview.


Nicole’s curiosity impelled her to actively engage with these new environments, proving to be a decision that reaped both personal and professional rewards. A part-time role at a finance institute in Vienna transitioned into a position on Wall Street, where Nicole discovered her passion for not just selling securities but also educating and advising clients on complex financial concepts.


A move to Switzerland brought her to a unique challenge as the youngest investment consultant at a Private Bank, pushing her to cultivate greater self-esteem and confidence. Concurrently, she pursued an International EMBA and a specialized two-year program in Management Training, incorporating equine interaction. This transformative experience deepened her understanding of leadership dynamics and personal development.


Stepping into self-employment in 2012, Nicole leveraged her experience to pioneer distinctive Leadership Training programs, setting the stage for Equilera’s unique approach. Phenomenal success and feedback followed, driving her relentless pursuit of excellence. Nicole furthered her qualifications, including a Master in Professional Coaching, certifications in Transpersonal Coaching, Professional Agile Leadership, and applied Neuroscience, among others.


By 2018, Nicole had established her own company, “Equilera,” a culmination of academic pursuits, professional experiences, and thousands of hours of practical application. Each juncture in her journey contributed uniquely to her approach in personal and leadership development, seamlessly blending traditional business acumen with innovative, science-backed methodologies.
