From the Scratch
An Elder sibling to two younger sisters, one more important reason for her fun upbringing was the ever-presence of pets in her house, and of course her grandparents, who had a great influence in her life. “My grandmother was what we call now an entrepreneur and my grandfather was an artist”, Eva shared ecstatically.
Belonging to the country of Colombia in South America, Eva received her education in an international school, where she had ample opportunities to meet and share experiences with students from around the world.
Eventually, Eva took up Journalism and Communications at her University, giving her the foundations of a corporate communications career. “I have always tried to make communications more tangible and I am always looking for new ways to measure them, so when I decided to have my masters degree in digital marketing it was the perfect complement to close that gap”, Eva added.
Journey towards Kushki
Eva worked for Mercado Libre, a well-known Latin American e-commerce startup, before joining Kushki, where she acquired useful knowledge. Eva moved into the payments sector because she was intrigued by its dynamic character and the daily opportunities it presents to use innovation and technical breakthroughs to change the course of history.
Eva is passionate about e-commerce and payments, viewing them as future-oriented sectors brimming with untapped potential. She understands the unique challenges and opportunities in Latin America, where each country has its own distinct regulations and perspectives on payments.
During her initial interview with Aron Schwarzkopf, one of Kushki’s founders, Eva was captivated by the company’s vision to connect Latin America through payments. She saw immense potential in the region, particularly with the growing interest from US and European companies looking to expand their e-commerce presence in South American countries.
As the Global Communications Director
As the Global Communications Director at Kushki, Eva oversees all internal and external communications, ensuring effective engagement with employees and stakeholders alike. This encompasses managing the company’s reputation and advocacy efforts across six countries where Kushki maintains local offices, including Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Miami. Additionally, Eva also handles communications for European and US regions where Kushki serves clients expanding their operations into Latin America.
Eva’s leadership style is characterized by transparency and openness, particularly within her team. She fosters an environment of clear communication and encourages regular feedback as a fundamental aspect of daily operations. Personally invested in the well-being of her team members, Eva prioritizes understanding each individual’s needs and challenges to provide tailored support while maintaining workflow continuity.

On a Personal Note
Beyond her professional avatar, Eva is deeply passionate about Flamenco, a dance that originated from Spain. Finding joy and happiness in experiencing live performances and dancing to its captivating rhythms, Eva has also showcased her talents in theaters across Colombia.
In addition to her love for flamenco, Eva prioritizes maintaining her physical and spiritual well-being. She enjoys exercising and taking leisurely walks with her dogs in the park, relishing any opportunity for outdoor activities.
Traveling is another passion of Eva’s, as she seeks to explore new destinations that offer fresh perspectives and opportunities for personal growth. With a goal of visiting one or two new countries each year, Eva gravitates towards beach destinations, drawn to the tranquility of the ocean.
Deeply interested in holistic health practices, Eva is currently studying ayurveda to further her understanding of how ancient Hindu knowledge can contribute to disease prevention and overall well-being. She believes in nurturing the body through mindful nutrition, exercise, and fostering positive emotions, reflecting her commitment to living a healthier and more fulfilling life.
