One among those bright smiles is Cristiana Carpini, the CEO of Tara Home Consulting.

From the Scratch
Having spent her childhood in a picturesque Tuscan countryside, Ms. Carpini was born into a culturally diverse family where her father was a German and her mother of half French-Swiss descent. Her parents’ strong influence on her led towards her indulging in literature, music and open discussions, and facing adversity with integrity. Her grandmother too had a long lasting impact on her in terms of overcoming hard times.
Cristiana was a language major at college. Although she was first apprehensive about attending, her French teacher persuaded her to apply for a scholarship in the UK. She was given admission to Warwick University, where she pursued her economics degree. After losing her parents, she took a variety of jobs in hotels and bars to support herself while going to school.
Her language skills led her to a job on cruise ships, where she spent about five years honing skills in problem-solving, PR, and multi-ethnic staff management. Combining her passion for real estate, her economic acumen, and her diverse experiences, she eventually became a consultant.
Journey towards Tara Home Consulting
While studying, Cristiana Carpini worked various side jobs, including several seasons at Disneyland Paris as an animator and receptionist, where she received exceptional training. In the cruise industry, she started at the front desk and, after completing her thesis, advanced to department manager, handling all issues around the clock without any days off for five months at a time.
During one of her assignments, she impressed a guest with her multilingual skills and efficiency, leading to a job offer from Interhome for a customer service-quality position in Florence. This opportunity allowed her to reunite with her fiancé in Genoa. Although relocation was not possible, she earned her real estate license and later joined Novasol in a commercial role, which she loved.
Unexpectedly, Tara Home Consulting was born. Cristiana entered the consulting field during the pandemic while assisting a Swiss firm in its recovery. Word-of-mouth helped her reputation grow, and in 2020 she started providing peers with free online consultations. She started formalizing her company concept after being inspired by a buddy who designed a logo. She worked as a consultant on and off in the United States, Canada, and only Europe from 2020 to 2023.
By the end of 2023, Cristiana completed her work with Happy.rentals, transforming it into a multinational company. She established Tara Home Consulting in Lugano, with a marketing team based in Paris.
As the CEO
When we personally asked Ms. Carpini to elaborate on what her real-time role is like operating as the CEO of Tara Home. For which she shared – “I do the audits of the property managers and at the beginning I personally accompany the CEOs, it is not easy to grow, the first choices are always difficult”. “I prepare the companies’ business plans to make them understand their potential, I check and prepare contracts for them also with suppliers and I personally take care of the training of the Tara consultants”, she added.
Through the conversation she also spoke about how as the CEO she has 2 important people who follow her and make sure everything is done at Tara Home, namely – Marco Cangemi, the Chief Marketing and her right-hand man Arianna Tomelleri, the Vice President.
More than just Success
After transforming her last company from near bankruptcy to a multinational success, Cristiana Carpini’s reputation grew rapidly. Holiday home owners and property managers sought her expertise, knowing she could help them grow efficiently without significant expenditures.
Tara Home Consulting distinguishes itself by not only advising on what needs to be done or which software to buy but by deeply integrating into the client’s company. Cristiana personally collaborates with CEOs to reorganize roles, identify staffing needs, and oversee selection and training. Additionally, they are incorporating mental coaching to help CEOs and teams manage stress during scaling.
Tara Home Consulting also plays a significant role in event management. They often secure accommodations for international events through trusted property managers and organize “Scale Italia,” the most important Italian event in their industry. This international brand, founded by Damian Sheridan and Gianpaolo Vairo, is meticulously planned by Cristiana and her team, including Arianna, Marco, Tiziana (marketing Italy), and Adriano (Scale marketing), covering everything from venue selection to coordinating speakers and sponsors.
Knowing Cristiana Carpini
On a personal note Cristiana Carpini leads an extreme healthy lifestyle, where her day starts with a 5 a.m walk with her dog, and eventually a few hours at the gym, and evenings are usually spent meditating. She is an avid traveler who loves reading, engaging in sports, hiking and rock and roll music, where particularly she carves out time to attend concerts of her favorite artists and other musicians.
Despite not having any children, Ms. Carpini shares a quality life with her husband. In contrast to the numerous mothers she admires and collaborates with, such as Arianna and her twins, Cristiana ensures to carve out time for herself alongside her spouse. Though not abundant, she prioritizes quality time for personal pursuits. One of her greatest passions, hiking, serves as a unifying activity for her, and is the only time she is virtually and physically unavailable to the world.
