From the Scratch
Originally from the greater NYC area, Jack Sharp relocated to Florida in 2020, not due to COVID but to embark on the journey of starting a family. His upbringing was influenced by both of his parents, who had contrasting career paths – one in the corporate world and the other as an entrepreneur. This exposure led Jack to integrate elements of both approaches into his own leadership style.
Beyond his academics, Jack wholeheartedly took part in both team and individual sports, which helped him become a team player, and at the same time a confident individual. He grew up with an elder sister who suffers from Down Syndrome, but her ambition and never quit spirit, added a lot of learning to Jack’s growth.
At Six Flags, where he started his career in 2004 at the age of sixteen, Jack was given a leadership position. Working there on a seasonal basis till he finished his undergraduate degree taught him the value of hospitality across all sectors of the economy and how it affects company performance. Jack originally intended to become a chef and was lured to culinary school. However, he soon realized that he was passionate in expanding enterprises, putting plans into practice, and doing in-depth business research.
Subsequently, he pursued further education at The Wharton School to refine his skills and deepen his impact in any organization he collaborates with.
From Reluctance to Resonance: Jack Sharp's Journey to Progressive Screens
During a brief interview opportunity, when we asked Jack to talk about how he ended up at Progressive Screens, he shared – “I met Arthur, the Founder/President at Progressive Screens and MagnaTrack, at a time when I had little to no desire to make a professional change”. “His energy, his passion, his endless quest for “better” was something which involuntarily convinced me to become a vital part of this team of industry giants”, Jack added.

He finds this period exhilarating, especially considering the rapid growth the company has experienced over the past three years.

Each day begins with Jack’s 15-minute leadership meeting, known as NYKE (Now You Know Everything), emphasizing the importance of communication. He prioritizes visibility and accessibility by conducting regular factory walks, eschewing the confines of the office. Empowering his leadership team, Jack trusts their expertise and decision-making abilities, intervening only when necessary.
